Is the Zone Diet Delivery for You?

When you think about it, getting Zone diet delivery makes a lot of sense for people in their daily, ordinary lives.

Many of these services personally deliver meals in large urban areas. Some of them will ship your meals to you via FedEx if you live someplace where they don't deliver to themselves.

Prices are not as expensive as I would have thought. They range from around $15-30 per day, though delivery to your area could raise the price.

This is not cheap, but neither is it outlandish. People pay more than that to go to Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers, for example. Some people spend more than what these services charge by eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If you can afford that much, and you don't have the time or desire to do all your own shopping and cooking, these services are terrific.

This company says its meals are the Zone favorable 40/30/30 nutrition but, unlike the first, does not stress that its meals are "Zone" meals. It's as though they want customers who want Zone diet meals, but don't want to call it the Zone. This seems odd to me. It's like benefiting from the research and books of Dr. Sears, without giving him credit.

Also, they have a special diet program for diabetics. Excuse me, but that's what the Zone diet is already perfect for. Diabetics should be on the Zone diet. The only real difference they must be careful to keep all their carbohydrates from low glycemic sources -- as a true Zone food delivery service should do anyway.

Plus, on their website they use meaningless jargon, such as writing that they deliver "results-oriented experiences" to your doorstep. I want meals. And how can experiences be "results-oriented?"

Their food is probably good.

This company delivers meals prepared according to various weightloss programs, including the Zone. I'd feel better about one, such as the first two, that are dedicated to the Zone dietary approach. But if it's the best one for you, take it.

They deliver daily, by 5 AM. The meals are ice-packed and air-sealed. They come with microwave heating instructions.

From the pictures on their website, they work hard to make their meals gourmet quality. Perhaps too much so, for my taste. I'm like a lot of good tasting but hearty food. I'm not concerned about my meals looking like something on the cover of a fancy slick magazine.

They also include meals for kids, which is great. It's hard to keep kids from eating too much of the wrong foods. They supply you with a special cooler to keep your meals in.

This one also focuses on high quality meals, and their website works hard to appeal to many people. They cite both celebrities and doctors who are happy customers. And their daily cost is ridiculously low, especially considering they serve New York City. Almost everybody who eats out spends more than $14.95 per day on food.

In the end, of course, you must choose the Zone Diet delivery service that best meets your needs depending on where you live, your budget, and whether or not you like the meals they prepare.
